Weekending

I was on my own this weekend, and filled yesterday and today with some of my favorite ladies. It  was so good to have time with all of them. Assisting Megan's yoga class, studying, surprise lunch with Ashley, dinner with Jane and Kate. Ikea with Tami this afternoon (such goodies were had! So many drawers opened and closed!) The camera stayed at home- too much goodness to stop and snap!

There was time for the studio, quiet, tapping and painting away. Chasing and snuggling the kitty. Skipping through old photos, remembering the goodness of those days.

I'll be glad when my man comes home tomorrow, it is good to be alone, knowing that it won't last.

Mandalas

Remember this post?

I finished...

If she sings your song, just say the word and reserve her with a message here. I'll post her in the shop by the weekend.

stitch by stitch

I'm determined to finish this poor tree this year.  It has been languishing in the pile of unfinished projects.  I think I may turn it into a skirt when it's done.

This has been declared the year of finishing! Boy-howdy, it feels great!

Handy

A few hours and only one extra trip to the hardware store, and we installed a new garbage disposal for the sink.  And we put it in properly, not the slap-dash way the old one was installed.  Quite proud.

Revisiting...

I managed to sneak outside before it got cold this weekend.  (FINALLY! I've missed my winter chill)

Much happier with these shots than those I took before.  Time to update the shop!

Sunday in the studio

I finished painting the studio walls today*, drank tea as I reorganized, placing everything where it belongs. This room is starting to feel more and more like the sanctuary I need.  The closet is next.

I took a break to work on a secret-for-now project.

Enjoyed my plants, appreciating their greenness, celebrating that I have kept them alive.

Tried, and failed to resist tickling these toes.

*ran out of paint, but the shelf covers the one section of unpainted wall... I'm calling it done.

Time flies

Coasting through another month, I found myself back in Asheville. As a group, we are so lucky to be together in our journey of yoga. Everyone is wonderful.  I adore the feeling of cool wind rushing through the window as my car climbs the mountains. The first moment we see each other again- feeling like it was just a week ago, and a year ago at the same time. Month after month, we come together. Our brains are filled, our bodies pushed, our hearts expanding.

How lucky can we be?
