I do love thread and leather together.

Evening winds down...

 

I've been missing Christmas glitter this year, wishing the house smelled of pine. Since we travel and don't want to leave the kitty with a tree unsupervised, no tree for me. Instead, I finally went out in the yard and created our very own mini tree.

Aren't the stars sweet?

I find myself working steadily.  Finishing projects, including the above manatee purse. That's right- Manatee. Purse. I know.

And now, snuggling into the couch before going out for some rock music.  

Tomorrow is my birthday. We'll be celebrating it along with the memory of a dear friend we lost last week. It will be a good day. It's been an interesting week, to say the least.

The rain is falling tonight. The house is quiet. Fidgit is napping in the studio chair, the Musician is at practice. I've sewn, tooled and painted my right arm into a tired bliss. Meditation to the soothing sounds outside and asanas will follow soon, then a cup of steaming tea.

I give thanks for my hands and the ability to use them for beauty. I am glad for my family, friends and loves that have attached each one to my heart. Wishing only that I had thought to pull wood from the shed before the rain. A fire would be the icing on the cozy cake tonight.
